Error when installing or reinstalling the Operator Console desktop version

If you receive an "Installation Error" message when installing or reinstalling the desktop version of the Activa Live Chat Operator Console, this indicates there was some sort of disruption or failure during the installation process.

In this scenario, it is recommended that you remove/uninstall the Activa Live Chat Operator Console from your system, and also remove/uninstall Adobe AIR (the runtime used by the Operator Console desktop version).

Then start fresh by going to the installation page for the Operator Console desktop version, click the install badge and start the process over again. During installation of the Operator Console, the latest version of Adobe AIR will be reinstalled as well.

Note: Administrative access may be required for installation of the Operator Console and/or Adobe AIR, depending on whether it is installed to a location that is writeable by the current user account. If you do not have write permissions, contact your systems administrator.
