Using Activa Live Chat with a Joomla! based Website is really no different than using it with any other Website.

All you have to do is insert the Activa Live Chat Deployment Code (and Button code if you want a live chat button, etc.). But you need the Deployment Code first and foremost, so here's how to get started:

FIRST: Setup a Deployment in your Activa Live Chat Account Dashboard - then copy the code given to you.

NEXT: Login to your Joomla Administrator Backend.

Joomla Version 1.5:

1. In the "Extensions" menu, select "Template Manager"
2. Click the name of the template that is being used (this template will have a star icon in default column next to it's name)
3. Click the "Edit HTML" button
4. Scroll down and paste your Activa Live Chat Deployment Code right above the closing body tag (</body>)
5. Click "Save" button

Joomla Version 1.0:

1. In the "Site" menu, go to "Template Manager" and then select "Site Templates"
2. Select the radio button to the left of the template that is being used (this template will have a check icon in default column next to it's name)
3. Click the "Edit HTML" button
4. Scroll down and paste your Activa Live Chat Deployment Code right above the closing body tag (</body>)
5. Click "Save" button
