When deploying Activa Live Chat on a Website, you must enter the domain name, sub-domain or IP address of the Website(s) where it will be used.
A single Deployment may be used across multiple domains, sub-domains and IP addresses. Simply separate each with a comma in the Domain Name field.
Proper Formatting
- yourdomain.com
- subname.yourdomain.com
- 196.168.2.555
- yourdomain.com, otherdomain.com, anotherdomain.net
Improper Formatting
- www.yourdomain.com
- yourdomain.com/index.html
- http://yourdomain.com or http://www.yourdomain.com
- http://subname.yourdomain.com
- yourdomain.com otherdomain.com anotherdomain.net (these must be separated by commas)
TIP: Entering the domain name only will cover all sub-domains, sub-directories, and of course "www.domainname.com".
Sub-Domains: Using specific sub-domains is a good way restrict a Deployment to that sub-domain only, and therefore enabling you to create additional Deployments with other sub-domains or even the domain only.
