Enable a Leave a Message Form to a live chat button or link

Enabling the Leave a Message Form option on a live chat button or link allows visitors to submit a form (in other words: "leave a message") when the live chat button or link is in its offline state.

Important: Enabling a Leave a Message Form is not an option when a button/link is set to "Display nothing when offline."

  1. In the Account Dashboard, go to the Buttons & Links section and either create a new button/link or edit an existing button/link
  2. In the step titled "Optional: Offline Button/Link Actions," check the box to "Enable Offline Button/Link Actions"
  3. Next, select the action "Leave a Message Form"
  4. Then select a Leave a Message Form to use from the list

Finish saving the button/link and follow the rest of the instructions.
