Enable and customize the queue indicator

The Queue Indicator displays to visitors their spot in line (or number in the queue) while they wait for the online agent to answer their chat request.

As an option for those employing either ACD Activity or ACD Genius chat routing methods, the "Enable Queue Indicator" feature will be available for each live chat Button/Link and Automated Invite.

Enabling the Queue Indicator
To enable the Queue Indicator for any live chat button/link:

  1. Sign in to the Account Dashboard using an administrator account
  2. Go to the Buttons & Links section and either create a new or edit an existing button/link
  3. Check the box next to "Enable Queue Indicator"
  4. Save the button/link

Customizing the Queue Message
The message that is displayed to the visitor as part of the Queue Indicator can be customized.

  1. After enabling the Queue Indicator as detailed above, enter a custom message in the Queue Message field (or tailor the default message that is already entered for you)
  2. Use the Queue Variable within Queue Message to display the visitors position in the queue.
